Friday November 25th, 5-7pm -  Mike Bruening and I enjoyed the Christmas entertainment and
Tree lighting Ceremony at the Durham Western Heritage Museum's Christmas at union station
event titled "Salute to Our Stars: Honoring those Who Serve and Protect"

Honoring those Who Serve and Protect

A huge American Flag hung on a rod between ladders of two Fire trucks
over the 10th street parking entrance.

Unlit Tree & Tree Lighting Ceremony

Before the ceremony, the tree was missing something, it was dark. At the end of the
6:15pm Tree lighting Ceremony, The tree lit up the darken former station lobby.

After the Ceremony

Now lit tree sparkled. The Heartland Harmonizers Barbershop Chorus adds Christmas to the air. My friend, Mike Bruening, is
viewing one of the thousand of 15 inch-high stars honoring our serviceman. Each one has a name & photo of a serviceman.
