Orangutan Forest Indoor Open! @ Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo

September 10th - now!, the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo's Hubbard Orangutan Forest indoor and outdoor Habitat opens. Before viewing the new two stories habitat, I observed an Orangutan hanging from the net just outside elevator tower window. The first picture shows a hanging Orangutan and his refection in window. In another photo from the elevator tower, A Orangutan was resting in tree in the outdoor habitat. Also have two photos of waterfall below the outdoor Habit. The Desert Dome can be soon above the water fall in the next to last photo.

The Recently open skylight lit two stories Indoor Habitat have three man-made trees with vines, waterfalls and a pond. Forest murals were painted on the wall. The Orangutans and Silvered Langurs appear to have great two exploring there new environment. The first and last photo shows an Orangutan at rest. The Orangutan in next to last photo is in north remodeled small habitat in the original building.
