Oktoberfest @ German-American Society

Septmeber17 - Oktoberfest is celebration of German Culture though Dance, food and Bear. One of the largest and the Original Oktoberfest is in Munich, Germany. Omaha's, far smaller single day event, along with beer, features many German Culture dances and bands including the "Die Heimat Tänzer" folk dancers pictured below.

One dance starts with everyone going in a big circle, continued with groups of four in-line dancers spinning with ladies flying off their feet. The last dance portrays a day of cutting wood set to music.

First photo is the pole of German "Seals" outside  the German-American Society of Omaha building, next one shows the Main Hall of the building, the rest of the photos are of the "Die Heimat Tänzer" folk dancer described above.
